I am lazy. Ok with that out of the way, I have been trying to set up my website so it automatically publishes my photographs. I am getting close. I have a “favourite photos” album in my photography gallery that is linked to my Lightroom catalogue. Any photos I rate 4 or 5 stars gets added to a smart collection that is uploaded to the website. I am also working on making a number of other smart albums to give more control of my site. In theory, all I have to do is keep my Lightroom catalogue up to date and the website will take care of itself.
sounds great in theory, but I’m not sure how well this will scale as I add more and more photos. Maybe it makes more sense to have yearly folders. I should also probably cull older images that are not up to my newer standards…
being lazy is a lot of work…
