Someone told me about an abandoned farm around Duncan (here). Apparently, there was an abandoned house with a lot of graffiti and a few trails around the property. I was told many locals walk it regularly.
I did not know quite what to expect, as I had never heard of it. I was completely surprised, the property is amazing!
Entrance is either at the original main entrance off Maple Bay road, or via a path starting in a residential area.

A short walk later and you will see the original home poke through the trees.

I was really impressed by the home. I was expecting a run down old shack, but this was an amazing home in it’s day. I understand the owner passed away, and I guess his heirs did not want to maintain the property. Maybe it was just too expensive to sell. Apparently there are over 300 acres of land, not to mention the home and other buildings.
Of course, all the glass has been broken over the years, and the property is covered with graffiti. but the main home is still amazing (I do like good graffiti, it can be a true art form of it’s own)
and then the property has some well maintained paths, including a walk up to a nice little waterfall…

Overall, it was a great place to explore, and I will have to go back again..
