Yesterday (Sunday, July 15), I went up to Duncan to spend the day with my daughter. Driving around, debating what to do, we noticed the main road was closed off. Then we noticed a bunch of tents and motorcycles hanging around. Apparently we had stumbled onto the first SuperMoto street race{{1}} in Duncan. In fact, this event was unique in Canada.

[[1]]For those who don’t know (I didn’t), SuperMoto consists of a dirt bike with street tires, or even slicks, racing on a paved course. There are a few race courses around, but no one shuts down a city downtown core….[[1]]
